I have been involved in Wealth Advisory and Financial Planning for affluent individuals and families for more than a decade, providing the opportunity to work with many talented individuals in the industry. From this experience, I have come to believe in three Tenets on which I base my Planning Practice.
Service to the Client ~ every client should feel like there is no competition for the attention of their advisor. This is accomplished by reducing client load for each planner to a level which allows that advisor to truly invest the time and thought necessary to provide the best advice possible. Go the extra step to impress the client rather than just meet their expectations.
Independent Thought ~ our clients expect to have the best advice for their particular situation, and I refuse to endanger that trust. Our plans are based on the facts at hand, goals of our client, and the best fit solutions. In starting this firm, I wanted to keep our advice from being subordinated by product sales goals, insurance sales, or being used as a sales gimmick.
Charge a Fair Fee ~ In order to provide the service and independent thought to our clients, we charge a fee for service. We charge this fee to engage our client in the process, setting out responsibilities and goals for each individual. When you are paying for a service, you automatically place more credence in the result, whereas a free financial plan tends to be more of a precursor to a sale. I prefer to keep the business of fees upfront, rather than try and make more on the back end by way of incentives, referral fees, or commissions.
These three Tenets along with my desire to exceed every client’s expectations will be the driving force for KM Finn & Associates’ approach to doing business. KM Finn & Associates welcomes the opportunity to work with clients that have come to expect that next level of service.
